Further thanks go out to our keynote speaker, Dr Tim Ferris, Director of Transformation at NHS England, who addressed the reception guests with a fascinating speech on the challenges in the post-pandemic phase of transformation. He shared his key insight into what HealthTech solutions need to offer to solve some of the key challenges the health sector is facing:
1 – HealthTech must be focused on national priorities
2 – HealthTech needs to reduce the friction between transaction and delivery to improve patient-clinician interaction
3 – HealthTech needs to remove steps in the pathway, not become another step itself
4 – HealthTech needs to be cash releasing to ensure cost effectiveness at a time of increasing health costs
5 – HealthTech needs to be based on real world evidence
Following Tim’s insightful address, guests were given the opportunity to ask questions before networking in the sunshine on the House of Lords terrace.
