The Health Tech Alliance is delighted to announce that the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care the Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural ‘Parliament & Healthtech’ Conference.
The Conference, which is being held on the 28th January 2020, will bring together stakeholders from across the entire spectrum of the health and social care system to discuss how vital innovation can reach patients quicker.
Since the Secretary of State took his post in July 2018, he has continually championed the enormous potential of HealthTech to permanently improve lives through prevention, diagnosis and treatment. One of the key challenges facing the NHS is understanding how to increase the adoption and spread of health technologies into the health and social care system, and ensuring a more streamlined path-way for life-changing products.
Commenting on the announcement of the Secretary of State as the keynote speaker, the Chair of the Healthtech Alliance Dame Barbara Hakin, said:
“HealthTech has a vital role to play in enhancing patient outcomes and helping the NHS deal with the various challenges it faces. We are therefore delighted that the Secretary of State, a champion of HealthTech, will deliver the keynote address at the Health Tech Alliance’s forthcoming ‘Parliament & HealthTech Conference.”
