The Health Tech Alliance is an informal coalition of health tech companies working to drive up the adoption of medical technologies, devices and diagnostics that are proven to benefit patient outcomes and deliver cost savings to the NHS.
Chaired by Dame Barbara Hakin, the former Deputy Chief Executive of NHS England, the Alliance’s members range from start-ups to multinational companies. We work in partnership with key bodies such as NICE, NHS England, Office for Life Sciences, NHS Improvement, NIHR and the Academic Health Science Networks to find tangible solutions to key healthcare problems.
Our activities include:
- Regular workshops and seminars which allow the Health Tech Alliance’s members to directly engage with policymakers across the entire health service.
- Member-led working groups focused on mapping out the common challenges faced by the healthtech industry, identifying opportunities for collaboration, sharing best practice and identifying solutions to industry-wide challenges.
- Lobbying of policymakers and Parliamentarians on policy issues that affect the sector, including Brexit, implementation of the Accelerated Access Review and Life Sciences Industrial Strategy.
- Profile-raising activities to promote the sector to policymakers and collaboration with industry associations to further amplify the healthtech sector’s voice.
